Margaret A. Stagmeier


Ms. Stagmeier has over 25 years of experience providing asset management and fund development for European and U.S. high net-worth individuals and institutions.  She launched her career at Laing Property PLC as an analyst, and the was recruited by Equity Properties as Director of Due Diligence.  From Equity Properties she went to work with the U.S. office of The Matuschka Group, based in Munich, Germany, where she represented over 250 high net-worth European Investors in U.S. real estate investments, including direct investment funds.  In 1994 she was a co-founder of The TransInvest Group, an asset management and investment company that has serviced over 5.0 million square feet.  She is a published author of the bookReal Estate Asset Management: Executive Strategies for Profit-Making, a landmark book that is in its third printing and has been translated into several languages.  The book is utilized by corporations, universities, and institutions on issues surrounding commercial real estate asset management.  Ms. Stagmeier is a sought-after speaker on topics related to asset management and liability management.

As a founding partner with TriStar Investments, Ms. Stagmeier is responsible for designing and implementing the business platform for equity sourcing and investment.  Her extensive experience in direct investment and fund management brings a strong value proposition having designed and/or managed over 20 equity Regulation D/S funds around a diversity of themes including commercial, timber, multi-family, and land.

Ms. Stagmeier has Bachelor of Science degrees in Account and Finance from Georgia State University. She has successfully passed the Georgia CPA exam.  She is a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), past board member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, chaired the Crystal Ball for the Georgia Arthritis Foundation, and serves on the board of the Atlanta Food Bank and her neighborhood foundation. She lives in Midtown with her husband, John.
